Timeless Wedding Inspiration for the Art Lover

Giving an eclectic feel to a wedding is one of the driving reasons behind this unique art inspired wedding shoot.

Mishkalo Gift Registry for Art, Photographer Michelle Cox , and the expert planning team from Urban Allure Events imagined a wedding vibe inspired by artwork that is brilliant and yet subdued, abstract and yet organic. The perfect backdrop for this artful vision and dream? Galleria Marchetti of course! The space is a perfect blend of traditional yet modern, feminine yet architectural, indoor and yet outdoor! This space, and this artwork inspiration is a representation of the perfect combination of yin and yang, symbolizing the juxtaposition and complexity that is two distinct people becoming one in marriage– one unit comprised of two very distinct individuals.

ECBG Wedding Cake

With a work of art at its center, this styled shoot imagines a wedding that integrates the colors and spirit of the artwork into all aspects of the wedding décor. This beautiful abstract piece by painter, Ira Ivanova, was the heart of this shoot and gave us a gorgeous palette of subdued and brilliant hues of violet, sage, blue and gold. We incorporated the art into the wedding backdrop created by Ceciel’s Flowers and carried the vibrant colors from the art into the cake made by ECBG Cake Studio. We used the same inspiration to design the table décor, wedding stationary and even the bridesmaid dresses.

The most memorable part of this shoot was incorporating the vibrant colors of the art with the energy and vibe among the groomsmen and the bridesmaids. The different bright complimentary colors, light and creative mood and the organic movement brought a beautiful energy to the group which would add another level of playfulness and fun to any wedding party!

The result is a wedding theme that is as unique and one-of-a-kind as the artwork itself. A tangible manifestation of an ethereal spirit expressed by the art. Modern couples today want to brand almost everything about their wedding and bringing art into the mix just amps up the ‘WOW’ factor. It truly reflects their style and personality.
