Celebrating Love

We had an absolute blast working with Michelle Durpetti and the whole team at Gene and Georgetti Steakhouse. Together with an amazing team of vendors we created dessert for one of our favorite holidays, Valentine’s Day! This gorgeous setup would be perfect for celebrating any and ALL of the loved ones in your life!
Catch our dessert in their restaurant every week, and especially Valentine’s Day weekend where they will be offering our chocolate raspberry tart!
Michelle and her event planning company, Michelle Durpetti Events, did such a great job styling and curating this shoot and I couldn’t wait to talk to her about her inspiration and all the adorable details!
“I absolutely love this holiday. Not for the chocolates or the gifts (those are lovely though!). But for the chance to celebrate my loved ones, of course. From my husband to my gal pals to my horses (they are my big furry babies) to my parents, I always think of this day as a way to share love with everybody. Love is grand. Love is life. And for me, love is also a gorgeous table!
With that in mind, I was hoping to create two different tables; one perfect for “dinner for two” for sweethearts, and another more festive for the galentines in your life, whomever they may be. We worked with bold pinks that popped alongside softer tones and incorporated purples and reds too. The idea was the have depth and lots of detail!
Thanks to a fantastic lineup of creative talent we celebrated this holiday in GRAND style with our imaginations running wild with love! I was so excited that every single creative on this shoot is a small business, owned by a woman. The color palette, the fun and festive decor, and everything that inspired me to create this was coming from a positive and empowered place so I felt like the vendors that signed on board were meant to be.” - Michelle
